NATO Supports Armenian-Azerbaijani Peace Process
NATO's Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Central Asia, Javier Colomina, met today in Baku with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Assistant to President Ilham Aliyev Hikmet Hajiyev. Colomina positively assessed the meetings and stated that NATO supports the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace process.
“Good meetings in Baku. We discussed NATO-Azerbaijan cooperation, Azerbaijan's role in energy security, and the state of the peace process following recent negotiations,” the special representative wrote on his Twitter microblog.
It is noteworthy that on May 24, Colomina met with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in Yerevan. On May 25, he held meetings with Georgian leaders in Tbilisi before traveling to Baku.
