VIDEO: We Urge to Remove Tinted Front Side Windows, Police Say

The Police of the Republic of Armenia has released a statement: "During the establishment and development of the patrol service, it has been repeatedly announced that one of the main objectives of the subdivision is not only to detect administrative violations but also to strengthen the connection between the community and the police in combating these violations.

As we have informed, the patrol service is conducting awareness-raising activities. Drivers have the opportunity to check the transparency level of their vehicle windows with the assistance of patrol service personnel.

It is reminded that, according to the provisions of domestic legislation and the technical regulations of the Customs Union, the transparency of front side windows of vehicles must be at least 70%.

Beginning June 1, patrol officers and road police will identify vehicles that violate the transparency standards of windows and will subject the drivers to administrative liability, amounting to twenty-five times the minimum wage.

Dear drivers, we urge you to remove the tinting from your front side windows or replace darkened glass while maintaining the permissible transparency levels."
