Transfer of Nuclear Weapons to Belarus Has Begun: President

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced the start of the transfer of Russian nuclear weapons, as reported by BelTA.

He made this statement in response to a question about his discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin during the Eurasian Economic Forum in Moscow.

"It was necessary to prepare both storage sites and so on. We have done all of that. Thus, the transfer of nuclear weapons has begun," Lukashenko said.

When asked for clarification on whether there are already nuclear weapons in Belarus, the head of state responded, "It is possible."

Lukashenko added that Minsk would be responsible for the stationed Russian nuclear weapons, and that "everything will be fine."
