No Iranian or French Drones Exist in the Armenian Armed Forces - Papikyan
The Armenian side has never used Iranian or French drones in response to Azerbaijani provocations. Such weapons from these countries do not exist in the Armenian Armed Forces, stated Armenian Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan during a Q&A session with the government in the National Assembly.
“The Defense Ministry has refuted this misinformation and stated that such weapons do not exist in our arsenal. However, this disinformation is also a continuation of the known false narratives regarding the Su-30s, when it was claimed that the aircraft belonging to the Armenian Armed Forces were handed over to another country,” said Papikyan.
According to the minister, the Azerbaijani side has already denied its own disseminated information. “When events occurred in Sotk in May, the very first day’s preparatory misinformation suggested that the Armenian side continues to use Iranian drones. Then, contradicting themselves, the next day they presented to everyone that remnants of drones produced in Armenia were found in their territory, and already by the following day, the drones had turned into French ones and, allegedly, they are being used with the help of French instructors. Naturally, this is yet another piece of disinformation. Yes, I officially deny this,” stated the Armenian Minister of Defense.
Earlier, on May 11, the Armenian Ministry of Defense had officially refuted Azerbaijani fake news claiming that Iranian drones were being used.
