Zelensky Did Not Attend Meeting with Me, Says Brazilian President

The President of Brazil, Lula da Silva, has stated that he was supposed to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during the G7 summit, but Zelensky did not show up for the meeting. The Brazilian leader noted that the Ukrainian leader preferred to attend another meeting.

“A bilateral meeting with 'Ukraine' was scheduled in this room. We waited and received information that they were running late. During that time, I met with the President of Vietnam. When the President of Vietnam left, the Ukrainian representative did not arrive. He must have had another meeting. I was not disappointed, I was saddened, because I would have liked to meet with him,” Lula said at a subsequent press conference, as reported by RBC.ru.

He also added that Zelensky is an adult and knows what he is doing.
