VIDEO: Azerbaijani Journalist Assaulted in the USA

According to Azerbaijani media reports, the head of GünAz TV, Ahmad Obali, has been assaulted in the United States. He has been hospitalized with multiple injuries and fractures to various parts of his body.

As reported by the Turan agency, the Azerbaijani journalist was the victim of violence in a hotel in Santa Clara, California, the day after returning from Azerbaijan to the United States.

“Ahmad Obali was subjected to terrorism in one of California's hotels by an unknown number of people. As a result of the attack, he sustained serious injuries. His condition is currently assessed as moderate,” said Aras Obali, a representative of GünAz TV.

He also told Turan that the police are investigating the incident, and there have been arrests made.

According to Azerbaijani sources, the assaulted journalist is one of the staunch critics of the Iranian authorities.
