VIDEO: Why Have You Come? Russians Receive a Warm Welcome in Georgia

Videos circulating on the internet show how Russian tourists are greeted in Georgia. Journalists at the airport have asked Russians, “Why have you come here, what is the purpose of your visit? Your country has occupied our territory.”

It is noteworthy that Russians arrived in Georgia via a direct flight, marking the first direct flight from Moscow to Tbilisi in the last four years.

Recall that on May 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin lifted the ban on flights to Georgia for Russian airlines. As of May 15, the visa regime for Georgian citizens has been canceled. So far, only Azimuth has received the right to fly from Russian airlines to Georgia. At least four Russian airlines have requested permission from Georgian authorities for flights to Tbilisi, Batumi, and Kutaisi.
