VIDEO: We must do everything to reduce this evil, says ruling party MP on cocaine

I follow various reports, and they indicate that drug use in Armenia has significantly increased in recent years. This is also the result of some institutions not functioning adequately in this direction. This was stated by Vaqarshak Hakobyan, an MP from the ruling Civil Contract party, in an interview with NEWS.am regarding the fact of importing one ton of cocaine into Armenia.

“As the authorities, we must do everything to reduce this evil to a minimum, and as a society, we must also do everything possible,” he said.

Referring to the opinion that it would be impossible to import such a large amount of cocaine into Armenia without the involvement of high-ranking officials, the MP stated, “I cannot make an assessment, but all those officials, if such exist, who are involved must be punished. I also do not rule out that there has been certain circulation that has not been uncovered. This is a very painful reality.”
