Son of Spitak Mayor Assaults Husband of Saramej Leader
On May 19, a resident of Saramej village in the Lori province, 37-year-old Tamara Minasyan, reported to the Spitak division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs that an unknown individual had assaulted her husband, 42-year-old Edgar Hovhannisyan, causing him injuries that required medical attention at the Spitak medical center. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.
Law enforcement authorities have determined that on May 18, around 9:30 PM, a dispute occurred between Hovhannisyan and 26-year-old Gor Nikoghosyan in front of the Armenian Postal Services office in the Italian district of Spitak, during which Nikoghosyan physically assaulted Hovhannisyan, inflicting bodily injuries.
It is noteworthy that Gor Nikoghosyan is the son of the mayor of the enlarged community of Spitak, Kajayr Nikoghosyan, while Hovhannisyan's wife, Tamara Minasyan, serves as the administrative head of Saramej village.
