MPs Present Guarantee for the Release of Gayane Hakobyan

In support of Gayane Hakobyan, the mother of fallen soldier Zhora Martirosyan from the 44-day Artsakh war, members of parliament will present a guarantee for her release.

"Ten opposition MPs have submitted a guarantee in defense of Gayane Hakobyan. People's Artist Harant Tokhatyan has also submitted a guarantee," stated lawyer Ruben Melikyan.

He reminded that the investigator has presented a motion for her detention, and the court will consider it along with the appeal against the arrest. During the session, the defense was asked how much time would be needed to familiarize themselves with all materials, to which they replied that one hour would be sufficient. Therefore, the session was suspended at 00:00 until 01:00.

Ruben Melikyan also emphasized that the session, initially scheduled to start at 23:00, was slightly delayed because Ms. Gayane's health had deteriorated; she is on hunger strike, and an ambulance was called.

Regarding the confrontation between Ashot Pashinyan and Gayane Hakobyan, both sides insisted on their initial testimonies.
