VIDEO: Ombudsman on the Case of Ashot Pashinyan's Alleged Abduction
I cannot assess the criminal composition; I speak as the Human Rights Defender, not as a lawyer. This was stated today, on May 18, by Ombudsman Anahit Manasyan during a conversation with journalists, commenting on the alleged abduction case of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's son, Ashot Pashinyan.
“I cannot provide an assessment related to the incident. This case is under our attention, representatives of the defender have continuously visited the parents of the fallen soldiers since yesterday and we have been in contact with the relevant authorities. The parents have not expressed dissatisfaction regarding mistreatment; the only complaint has been related to the legality of the arrest. We have not spoken with Ashot Pashinyan,” noted Manasyan.
