VIDEO: Badasanyan on the Discovery of 1 Ton of Drugs in Armenia
The National Security Service (NSS) has discovered approximately 1 ton of cocaine smuggled into Armenia. During a government briefing, the Chairman of the State Revenue Committee, Rustam Badasanyan, stated that he cannot provide details regarding the case and will refrain from making any comments, but he did explain how the scheme operated.
“Customs authorities in various countries develop risk assessment systems and algorithms that help identify which containers or trucks to inspect. Naturally, those companies that transport goods through smuggling channels are aware of this and also employ different mechanisms,” he said.
