The Cause of Bird Flu Quarantine Introduction in Moscow Revealed

In several areas south of Moscow, seagulls have been identified as the culprits behind the introduction of bird flu quarantine. This was reported by the press service of the regional office of Rosselkhoznadzor on Thursday.

It has been noted that the situation began with the discovery of dead seagulls along the shores of the Borisov Lakes and the Gorodnya River. After analyzing the remains of the birds, specialists concluded that they died due to a highly pathogenic strain of avian influenza.

“The areas where the dead seagulls were found have been declared epizootic foci, and high-risk zones have also been identified,” the ministry stated.
