Russia Increases Agricultural Exports Despite External Restrictions, Putin Says

Russia increased its agro-industrial product exports last year despite external restrictions, stated President Vladimir Putin during a meeting dedicated to the spring fieldwork.

“Despite the bans in external trade, Russia was able to raise its agro-industrial product exports to $41.6 billion last year,” said the Russian leader, noting that “the growth is quite good.”

According to Putin, like before, the Russian Federation remains one of the key suppliers of agricultural products in the world and has proven itself as a reliable, predictable partner.

“This is how we will act going forward as well. It is expected that the grain exports for the 2022-2023 agricultural year will amount to about 55-60 million tons,” added the Russian president.
