Biden Arrives in Hiroshima to Attend G7 Summit

President Biden, accompanied by Secretary of State Antony Blinken, has traveled to Hiroshima, where the G7 summit will take place on Friday. Japan is presiding over the G7 this year.

In Hiroshima, Biden will hold a bilateral meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. During the summit, key topics for the U.S. President will include the conflict in Ukraine and Beijing's activity in the Taiwan Strait and the South China Sea.

Biden is also expected to engage in trilateral talks with the leaders of Japan and South Korea to discuss economic security issues, the expansion of military exercises, and a coordinated approach to relations with North Korea.

It is worth noting that earlier, the White House announced that the American leader would not apologize for the atomic bombings of the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki carried out by the U.S. in 1945.
