Ukraine Bombards Russian Territory with Tanks for the First Time
Ukraine's armed forces have, for the first time, struck Russian territory using tanks, targeting the Belgorod region. This was reported by Lenta.ru, citing its sources.
According to the reports, the tank that opened fire was located in the border village of Budarki in the Belgorod region. In total, Ukraine's armed forces fired 12 shells towards the southern outskirts of the 'Stari' farm.
It is noted that Ukraine's tanks had not previously moved so close to the border with Russia for bombardment purposes. Just a day earlier, on May 16, Ukraine had first launched incendiary phosphorus shells at the Belgorod region. These are believed to have been fired from a 'Grad' multiple rocket launcher system.
