The U.S. to Provide Additional Military Aid to Taiwan
The United States will soon provide significant additional military aid to Taiwan, announced Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin.
He made this statement during a hearing of the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee. Austin did not specify which military equipment would be included in the aid package.
It is worth noting that a spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of National Defense stated that the People's Liberation Army of China is strengthening its efforts to prepare for war due to the U.S. supplying arms to separatists in Taiwan.
Bloomberg previously reported that the U.S. plans to transfer $500 million worth of weapons to Taiwan through an expedited process that is used to provide military assistance to Ukraine.
