Russia's Initiatives Begin to Yield Practical Results, Says Zakharova
Recent initiatives aimed at peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, developed with Russia's involvement, are causing unease in the United States and Europe. This was stated today by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a press conference.
"These initiatives have started to be implemented and are beginning to yield practical results," she added.
According to Zakharova, the Western initiative regarding the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan is not a mediation effort but rather something destructive. "There are no constructive and tangible results that could indicate a positive movement in this direction," the RF MFA representative emphasized.
"We always highlight positive trends, dynamics, and so on. In many directions, as you know, you can see. There will definitely be corresponding results in this direction, which we will certainly appreciate. However, there is nothing to praise yet. We still see a clearly expressed desire to obstruct the agenda, with Western countries trying to attribute results to themselves that have not been achieved by them. There exists a jealousy, malice..." Zakharova noted.
