It Is Known When the Last Class Will Be Held in Schools

In Armenia, approximately 35,300 students will graduate from primary school, while 19,900 students will graduate from the 12th grade in the 2022-2023 academic year. This information was provided by the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, Araksia Svajyan.

She announced that according to the academic plan, the last class will be held on May 26 for five-day work schedules and on May 27 for six-day work schedules. This was reported by Armenpress.

"The last class should be viewed as a summarization of the educational process, rather than a more extensive event. All processes in schools should be organized in a way that does not create additional burdens for students, parents, and teachers," she said.

Referring to final and unified examinations, the deputy minister noted that the schedule for unified examinations has already been published on the Ministry's website, and all activities will be organized accordingly.

"In the 2023-2024 academic year, around 39,500 students will attend the 1st grade. Registration will open on June 12 for all citizens who have certain privileges, and from June 27, registration will be conducted on a general basis for schools that provide instruction in Armenian, while starting July 4, registration will be available for foreign citizens, dual citizens, stateless persons, and national minorities," Araksia Svajyan stated.

The deputy minister emphasized that a new state curriculum for general education will be introduced in all schools in Armenia for the 2nd, 5th, 7th, and 10th grades in the 2023-2024 academic year.
