Father of Deceased: We Did Not Attempt to Kidnap Ashot Pashinyan, It Was an Incident
Recently, the news outlet "Haykakan Zhamanak" reported that "around 3:00 PM today, an attempt was made to kidnap Ashot Pashinyan, the son of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, near his home." According to the website's information, the alleged kidnappers are members of the NGO "Call of Sons." In an interview with 24News, the head of the "Call of Sons" NGO, Vahik Sahakyan, stated, "What is mentioned on that website is completely slanderous." When asked whether an incident occurred, he replied, "An incident did take place, but it is not as it is presented." Sahakyan, who was among those involved in the incident, also mentioned that they were participating in a trial, had exited, and saw Ashot.
It is worth noting that Zardand Gabrielian, the head of the Public Relations and Information Department of the RA Police, informed Auroranews that they have received a report regarding the attempted kidnapping of Ashot Pashinyan. "The police are taking appropriate measures, and the documents will be sent to the Investigative Committee," he said.
