Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Serbia Do Not Sign Agreement on Establishment of Ukraine Damage Registry

Armenia did not sign the European Council agreement to establish a registry for assessing damages inflicted on Ukraine during the conflict, reports Sputnik Armenia.

As noted in the agreement adopted during the European Council summit, it is intended to serve as a basis for a mechanism for international compensation. Several countries of the European Council, as well as Canada, Japan, the United States, and the European Union administration, have signed the agreement.

The European Council has also called on Russia to withdraw its troops from Ukraine, Georgia (South Ossetia, Abkhazia - ed.) and Moldova (Transnistria - ed.). Additionally, a declaration was adopted regarding the situation of children affected by the Ukrainian conflict, urging countries to support Ukrainian authorities and “ensure the immediate return of children illegally taken out by Russian forces.”

At the same time, it is stated that European countries which have accepted children from Ukraine should receive material assistance.

Azarbaijan and Serbia also did not sign the declaration.
