A Kamaz Truck Carrying 20 Tons of Wheat Overturned on the Yerevan-Vanadzor Road

A Kamaz truck loaded with 20 tons of wheat has overturned, spilling its cargo across approximately 200 meters of the road. The first to assist the driver were a group of young people from the village of Artashavan, as reported by Shamshyan.com.

At around 18:30, Soslan Kabulov, a 34-year-old citizen of Georgia, was driving his Kamaz truck with a trailer on the M3 section of the Yerevan-Vanadzor highway, heading towards Yerevan. For reasons still under investigation, he veered off the traffic lane, crashed into an earth embankment, continued forward, struck a concrete electric pole, and, after moving forward, crossed into the opposite lane before colliding with a metal guardrail.

Fortunately, according to preliminary information, there were no injuries. The approximately 20 tons of wheat loaded in the trailer spilled out, covering the center of the road.

The first responders from the village of Artashavan swiftly removed the spilled wheat from the roadway. Officers from the Rapid Response Unit of the Police of the Republic of Armenia in the Aragatsotn region promptly arrived at the scene.

The driver underwent a sobriety test on-site and was found to be sober. Investigative materials regarding the accident are being prepared at the Aragatsotn regional division of the Rapid Reaction Service.
