Video: Man Threatens to Detonate Hand Grenade in Gyumri Demanding to See Woman and Son
On May 13, a 73-year-old woman from Gyumri called the police's operational management center to report that her neighbor was threatening to blow up a hand grenade in their shared yard. According to the police, the report was immediately forwarded to the Kumayri police station.
A response team was dispatched to the specified address on Myasnikyan Street. The officers noticed a 52-year-old man near one of the doors, who was threatening to detonate an ‘F-1’ type grenade, demanding that the woman and her son come to see him.
The law enforcement officials quickly cordoned off the area and took necessary measures. Thanks to the explanatory work of the Kumayri police leadership, the man was disarmed. He was arrested and taken to the Kumayri police station.
The 52-year-old man from Gyumri and the related documents have been sent to the Shirak regional investigative department. A criminal case has been initiated, and the circumstances are under investigation.
