Production Activities of a Factory Suspended in Yerevan Due to Unclean Equipment
The production activities of the "Arnush" confectionery paste factory in Yerevan have been suspended. This information has been reported by the Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia.
During inspections conducted by inspectors, it was revealed that the factory was operating with gross violations of the sanitary and hygienic norms established by legal regulations.
According to the report, "The production facility lacked natural and mechanical ventilation measures, the equipment was not properly cleaned and disinfected, pest control and rodent extermination measures had not been carried out, and there were no sanitary facilities or changing rooms for the staff."
According to the inspection body, the staff involved in the food chain had not undergone mandatory preliminary and periodic medical examinations, did not possess sanitary books, and items not used in food production were stored in the production facility.
By the decision of the head of the inspection body, a deadline has been set for the elimination of the identified violations.
