Fear that one day 120,000 hungry and armed people will come from Artsakh to Armenia, says Hin Shen leader
Four villages in the Shushi region remain under a bilateral blockade following the establishment of an illegal Azerbaijani checkpoint. Samvel Sargsyan, the leader of Hin Shen, stated in an interview with 24News that there have been no changes or extraordinary incidents reported.
When asked about the recent agreement between Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Aliyev to recognize each other's territorial integrity, with Armenia set to acknowledge Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan, Sargsyan expressed disbelief. “Those who say that and those who think that have hit their heads against the wall; it’s an impossible thing,” he said.
“Can you imagine waking up one day to find that Armenia is part of Azerbaijan? We cannot envision that,” he added.
Regarding what actions would be taken if such a scenario became reality, Sargsyan warned, “Fear that one day 120,000 hungry and armed people will come from Artsakh to Armenia,” recalling the words of Vazgen Sargsyan. “They gave up Western Armenia; now they are giving up Artsakh and Syunik. What do they gain from this? A label of treachery in history?” concluded the leader of Hin Shen.
