Deputy Foreign Minister on the Exchange of 'Lost' Azerbaijanis in Armenia

The Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, Mnatsakan Safaryan, deemed it premature to discuss the exchange of 'lost' Azerbaijanis for Armenian prisoners of war being held in Baku.

“It is still early to talk about this. Only an announcement regarding the agreement has been made; I cannot provide further details,” said the Deputy Minister. On April 13, the Ministry of Defense reported that a second Azerbaijani serviceman had been found and detained in Armenian territory. He is suspected of being involved in the murder of an employee of the National Security Service.
