Video: Elections in Turkey – Supporters of Kilicdaroglu Take to the Streets
The process of counting votes for Turkey's 13th presidential and 28th parliamentary elections is underway. Recently, it was reported that supporters of Kemal Kilicdaroglu, the opposing candidate to Turkey's leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, have taken to the streets in Ankara. A video of the gathering has also been circulated.
According to state TRT, 79.45% of the ballot boxes have been opened. The total number of voters is 60,774,565, with 37,449,150 valid ballots. Based on the results from the opened ballot boxes, Recep Tayyip Erdogan has received 50.50% of the votes, Kemal Kilicdaroglu has 43.70%, and Sinan Oğan has 5.31%.
