Gas Leak Results in Explosion
A gas leak has resulted in an explosion, as reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations. On May 14, at 06:23 AM, the Crisis Management National Center received an emergency call regarding an explosion caused by a gas leak in one of the houses on Garegin Nzhdeh Street in Burastan village, Ararat Province, which led to a fire and injuries.
Two firefighting and rescue teams from the regional rescue department were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that the explosion occurred in the kitchen due to the gas leak, but there was no fire outbreak. The middle wall of the kitchen (10 square meters) collapsed and four windows were damaged. The injured individual, A. E. (born in 1942), was transported to Artashat Medical Center with various bodily injuries, and subsequently to the National Burn Center.
