EU and G7 Countries May Finally Block Russian Gas Imports to Poland and Germany
The EU and G7 countries are planning to definitively block Russian gas imports to Poland and Germany, according to the Financial Times.
The decision could be adopted as part of the 11th package of sanctions at the summit in Hiroshima, scheduled for May 19-21.
A source from the publication indicated that the sanctions are necessary to ensure that "partners do not change their minds in the foreseeable future." The countries also aim to prevent the reopening of previously closed routes due to Russia’s use of energy resources as a weapon.
