Belarus Deploys Missile Systems and MLRS at Western Borders

Belarus has positioned tactical missile complexes and multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) near its western borders, according to the country's ministry of defense.

This month, combat readiness checks continue within the Belarusian armed forces. Various units, including mechanized brigades, special operations forces, missile troops, and artillery divisions, are operating in the specified areas.

"Near the western borders (of Belarus), tactical missile complexes and MLRS are stationed. The army clearly demonstrates that any attempt at aggression against Belarus will be met immediately by our 'Polonez' and 'Tochka' systems," commented a presenter from the ВоенТВ channel in a video posted on the Belarusian defense ministry's Telegram channel on Sunday.

Earlier, the Belarusian defense ministry announced that this month, a new phase of comprehensive readiness checks for military units and formations involved in responding to crisis situations will take place. First and foremost, the units and formations stationed in the Grodno, Brest, and Minsk regions will be assessed.

In addition to air force and air defense units, special operations forces, operational command units, missile troops, and artillery, support units will also be involved. A conscription of reservists is planned, with the total number not expected to exceed one thousand.
