Germany to Provide Ukraine Its Largest Military Aid Package: Reports

The German authorities have agreed to provide Ukraine with an additional €2.7 billion (approximately $3 billion) in weaponry, which will be the largest military aid package received from Berlin, reports Spiegel, citing its own information.

According to the publication, the Chancellor's Office and other government departments reached an agreement during secret negotiations that in the coming weeks and months, Ukraine will receive "approximately €2.7 billion in additional weapons" from Germany.

It is noted that the German government plans to transfer 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles, 30 Leopard 1 tanks, and up to 200 reconnaissance drones to Ukraine. Additionally, supplies of the Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft system, extra IRIS-T air defense systems, as well as additional artillery ammunition and vehicles are also planned.
