Video: Russian Footballer Involved in Major Car Accident Has Died

A major car accident occurred in the Odintsovo district of Russia on the night of May 12. The driver of a Nissan GT-R lost control and crashed into a guardrail. The car was reduced to a pile of metal.

Following the accident, the driver was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Doctors fought for his life for over 10 hours, but unfortunately, their efforts were in vain. The athlete was diagnosed with skull, rib, and thigh fractures, as well as hemopneumothorax. He ultimately succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

Several media outlets have reported that the driver was 32-year-old Alexander Karakin, a former footballer from Spartak, Khimki, and Dynamo. There are also reports that another person was in the car with him. That individual has been taken to intensive care.

It is noted that the accident occurred during a street racing event.
