VIDEO. How Azerbaijanis Stopped Vehicles Transporting Patients from Artsakh
Yesterday, 9 patients in critical condition were transferred from Artsakh to specialized medical centers in Armenia, accompanied by Russian peacekeepers and an ambulance. An additional 21 patients are waiting for the opportunity to be transferred, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health.
The Azerbaijani propaganda machine has widely reported this event, presenting it as evidence of the restricted freedom of movement for the population of Artsakh.
Recall that on April 23, the Azerbaijani side established a checkpoint near the bridge over the Haghari River in Artsakh, completely severing the connection between Armenia and Artsakh. Furthermore, the importation of any type of goods into Artsakh has also been banned.
It should be noted that following the illegal action of placing a checkpoint in the Lachin corridor, Azerbaijani authorities have prohibited the movement of Red Cross vehicles and the transfer of patients through this corridor.
