Floods in Several Villages of Irkutsk Region

Floods have occurred in several villages of the Irkutsk region. The flooding took place due to intense melting of snow and a significant inflow of meltwater. This information has been reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The village of Preobrazhenka has been most affected, with 109 homes flooded. Residents are being evacuated by rescuers using boats.

An emergency regime is in effect in the Katangsky district of the Irkutsk region. The water level in the Nizhnyaya Tunguska River has risen by 54 cm.
