VIDEO: I Exclude the Possibility of the ‘Nemesis’ Monument Being Dismantled, Avinyan

The Deputy Mayor of Yerevan, Tigran Avinyan, has excluded the possibility of the ‘Nemesis’ monument being dismantled. He made this statement in an interview with News.am.

On April 29, it became known that Ankara had annulled the permission previously granted to Flyone Armenia to conduct flights over Turkish airspace to Europe, explaining this by the unveiling of the monument dedicated to the heroes of the ‘Nemesis’ operation in Yerevan. Following this, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu declared that Armenia should dismantle the monument installed in Yerevan.

According to Avinyan, neither the government nor the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is involved in the process of the monument’s installation. He stated that such issues must also be open to discussion.
