Ukraine Needs More Time to Start Long-Awaited Counteroffensive, Zelensky Says

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that his country needs more time to begin the long-awaited counteroffensive against Russian forces, as the Ukrainian military awaits the delivery of promised military aid.

The anticipated counteroffensive could be decisive in the war, redefining front lines that have remained unchanged for months. It will also be a critical test for Ukraine, which aims to demonstrate that the weapons and equipment received from the West can lead to significant gains on the battlefield, according to the BBC.
