No Need to Evacuate Sotk Residents, Says Gegharkunik Governor

Gegharkunik Governor Karen Sargsyan has stated that there is no need to evacuate residents of Sotk, as reported by Hetq.

It should be noted that earlier today, on May 11, the Ministry of Defense announced that Azerbaijani armed forces opened fire from artillery and mortar systems targeting Armenian positions located in the direction of Sotk.

While discussing the current situation in the village, the governor remarked, “There is nothing dangerous or alarming at this moment.”

Sargsyan also mentioned that he is currently in Vardenis and has nothing to add to the statements released by the Ministry of Defense.
