Efforts Underway to Facilitate Transfer of Patients from Artsakh to Armenia, Avanesyan Says
Efforts are being made both with the International Committee of the Red Cross and on all international platforms to enable the transfer of patients in critical condition from Artsakh to Armenia amidst the blockade of the Lachin Corridor by Azerbaijan. This was stated by the Minister of Health of Armenia, Anahit Avanesyan, during a conversation with reporters.
“Currently, consortium medical assistance is being provided. Our doctors are in contact, and we are intensively working with the Ministry of Health of Artsakh. Necessary medical assistance is being provided to the patients,” Avanesyan said.
According to her, the hospital network is equipped with all the necessary supplies. “Work is also ongoing with the Red Cross and on all international platforms to make these transfers possible,” the minister emphasized.
Earlier, it was reported that the Azerbaijani side had prohibited the transfer of citizens in critical health condition from Artsakh to Armenia, even with the mediation of the Red Cross.
