Return of Archbishop Parghev to The Homeland Impossible Due to Health Issues: Mother See

The Director of the Information System of the Mother See, Father Esai Kahn Athenian, has responded to today's press publication regarding the former leader of the Artsakh Diocese, Archbishop Parghev.

“Archbishop Parghev is under medical supervision and, due to health conditions, it is impossible for him to safely return to the homeland. The merits of the Holy Father in the Armenian Church are significant and undeniable, especially in the context of the Artsakh liberation struggle and the establishment of independent Artsakh.

We must be just and grateful and, in cases of impossibility, at least refrain from discrediting such a beloved and respected cleric by our people, and from fostering such sentiments toward his person. We pray for the swift recovery of the Holy Father and lovingly await his return to the Mother See,” the statement concludes.
