Poland Decides to Rename Kaliningrad
Poland has decided to rename Kaliningrad. This is reported by local media.
As of today, the decision of the Commission for the Standardization of Geographic Names outside the Republic of Poland comes into effect. From now on, the Poles will no longer refer to the former Königsberg by its Soviet name, but will instead use the Polish historical version, Królewiec.
