Clash Between Ruling and Opposition Party Members in Turkey

A clash occurred between members of Turkey's main opposition force, the Kemalist Republican People's Party (CHP), and the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP). The information was reported by Ermenihaber.am.

The incident took place on Fevzi Çakmak Street in Gaziantep, Turkey, as members of both parties were conducting campaign activities.

According to Turkish sources, three individuals sustained injuries due to police intervention and were hospitalized. Hasan Öztürkmen, a Gaziantep resident, CHP candidate for the parliamentary seat, and lawyer, described the incident as an attack by AKP members on young CHP members distributing election pamphlets.

Öztürkmen also asserted that one of the injured, a leader of the CHP youth wing, was taken to the hospital after being struck with a police baton.
