Attack on Orphanage in Poland Leaves 16-Year-Old Girl Dead

In the village of Tomisławice, Poland (Łódź Voivodeship), a 16-year-old girl has been killed and 9 others injured in an attack on an orphanage. The assailant was armed with a knife, according to reports from БЕЛТА.

“According to preliminary data from the police, a 19-year-old young man who is not a resident of the institution attacked a teacher and other students with a knife,” said Aneta Sobieraj, spokeswoman for the Łódź police.

After the crime, the man attempted to flee but was apprehended by the police. The arrested individual is known to be 19 years old. The motives for the incident are being investigated.
