What Caused the Yerevan-Dubai Aircraft to Land in Shiraz

Dubai air traffic controllers did not allow the aircraft of 'FlyOne Armenia' to enter Dubai's airspace. This was stated by the chairman of the company's board of directors, Aram Ananyan, in an interview with Sputnik Armenia.

“With a justification that still requires additional clarification, Dubai air traffic controllers did not permit the airline's aircraft to enter Dubai's airspace. The aircraft's commander decided to land at Shiraz airport until the issue is clarified,” said Ananyan.

According to him, during the stop, the crew of the 'FlyOne Armenia' aircraft provided passengers with food and did everything possible to ensure the connection of passengers with their relatives.

As 'FlyOne Armenia' is not currently operating flights to the Islamic Republic of Iran and given that it was a non-working day, the documentary work for continuing the flight took a little longer.

After updating and obtaining all permissions, the aircraft continued its flight and landed at Dubai airport.

Previously, it was reported that the Yerevan-Dubai flight had made a landing in Shiraz.
