Jordan Strikes House in Syria, Six Children Killed
Arab media reports that the Jordanian Air Force has targeted a house in the village of Harab al-Shaham in southern Syria (near the Jordan border, approximately 17 km from the Israeli border), where a drug laboratory and other targets were located. This information is relayed by СВЕЖЕСТИ.
According to the outlet, the attack took place after Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi warned in an interview with CNN that the Hashemite Army might strike targets within Syrian territory. At the same time, the growing scale of drug smuggling from southern Syria to Jordan was noted. This process is overseen by the Lebanese Hezbollah, for whom drug trafficking is one of the main sources of income.
One of the targets of the Jordanian attack was the house in the village of Shaab, belonging to the family of Maray Ramatan, one of the largest drug dealers in southern Syria. His home was a drug storage facility. According to available information, the attack resulted in the deaths of not only Maray Ramatan himself but also his six young children.
