Messi Apologizes for Trip to Saudi Arabia
Lionel Messi, the forward of the French club PSG and the Argentine national team, has apologized to his teammates for traveling to Saudi Arabia after their home match against Lorient, where they suffered a 1-3 defeat in the 33rd round of the French league, according to Skysports.
Messi is an ambassador for the Ministry of Tourism in this Arab country. In a video message posted on social media, he stated: “Honestly, I thought we would have a holiday after the game, like in previous weeks. I had organized this trip, and I could not cancel it. I repeat, I want to apologize for what I did. I look forward to hearing what the club wants to do with me.”
It is worth noting that on Wednesday it was revealed that Messi will leave PSG at the end of the season, as the French champions are not planning to offer the forward a new contract.
