Citizen Falls About 20 Meters into Gorge from Cliff; Condition Serious

On May 5, at 11:44 AM, the Lori Regional Crisis Management Center received a call reporting that a citizen had fallen from a cliff near one of the lakes in Stepanavan; assistance from rescuers was necessary.

A combat unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' regional rescue service was dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that a 23-year-old individual (born in 2000) had fallen about 20 meters into a gorge near the 9th kilometer of the Stepanavan-Tashir highway.

The rescuers transported the victim approximately 150 meters to the auxiliary vehicle located in the gorge, from which they were pulled out and brought to an ambulance.

The injured individual was hospitalized at the Stepanavan Medical Center, where doctors assessed their condition as serious.
