After Armenian-Azerbaijani Talks in Washington, Bayramov and Cavusoglu Held a Phone Conversation

The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Turkey, Jeyhun Bayramov and Mevlut Cavusoglu, have had a phone conversation, as reported by interfax.az.

“During the conversation, the ministers exchanged views on bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey, as well as the current situation in the region. The foreign ministers also discussed the talks on the peace treaty draft between Azerbaijan and Armenia that are being held in the U.S. (May 1-4), at the level of foreign ministers,” stated a press release from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It is also noted that during the phone conversation, the ministers addressed other issues of mutual interest.

Recall that last evening, the four-day negotiations between Mirzoyan and Bayramov in Washington concluded. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken had mentioned that the parties discussed complex issues in recent days and recorded substantial progress on the peace treaty.
