VIDEO: Over 1300 Cannabis Plants Grown on a Property
The police of the Ararat region received information from the juvenile affairs and domestic violence prevention department that a resident of the Ararat region was growing cannabis plants on his property and was storing narcotics and weapons at home. To verify the information, the Ararat police visited the specified address.
Upon seeing the police, the homeowner, who was leaving the house with a bag in hand, panicked and attempted to discreetly return home. Her behavior raised suspicion among the law enforcement officers.
They arrested her and took her to the Ararat police station. During a search, over 1 kilogram of a marijuana-like substance in various weights and packages, dry rolls, cannabis bushes, seeds, pipes, smoking devices, glass rolls, and lighters were found in the bag. A folding knife and ammunition were also discovered. Law enforcement officials clarified that the seized items belonged to the homeowner's son.
The property was also searched, resulting in the discovery of over 1300 cannabis plants, while the home search yielded packages of marijuana-like substances and various calibers of ammunition. A 38-year-old man was arrested and taken to the local investigative department.
The circumstances are being clarified during the preliminary investigation.
