Ukrainian Delegation Members Attempted to Disrupt Russian Speech
Members of Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada attempted to disrupt a speech by the Russian delegation during the summit of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) in Ankara. This was reported by Olga Timofeeva, head of the permanent delegation of the Federal Assembly of Russia.
“During the Russian delegation's speech, the Ukrainian delegation tried to disrupt it. What the Ukrainians did resembled a circus,” TASS quoted her words.
Timofeeva emphasized that the Ukrainian delegation failed to carry out their plans. “The President of the Turkish Parliament, Mustafa Sentop, attempted to stop what was happening and remove the protesters from the chamber,” she said.
In December, it was announced that Russia decided to halt its payments to the BSEC Parliamentary Assembly due to attacks from Kyiv.
