VIDEO: Ukrainian Agents Planning Terrorist Acts Discovered

Russian special services have thwarted a series of terrorist acts in Crimea that were planned by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense, targeting officials in Russian regions. During a search, five improvised explosive devices ready for use, as well as plastic explosives of British origin, were discovered with members of the criminal group. This information was reported by ria.ru.

“The targets of the attacks included the head of the republic Sergey Aksyonov, the chairman of the parliament Konstantinov V.A., and Yalta's mayor Pavlenko Ya.P., as well as elements of the peninsula's transportation infrastructure,” the report states.

During the search, law enforcement found five improvised explosive devices prepared for use, weighing approximately 6 kg in total, along with military-grade electric detonators, remote-controlled mechanisms for activation of explosive devices, surveillance equipment, and means of communication.

The seized explosives are similar to those used on February 23 during the bombing of railway tracks in Crimea. Criminal cases have been initiated, the suspects have provided confession statements, and the investigation continues. Following a ruling by the Kyiv District Court of Simferopol, all arrested individuals have been detained.
